I can't help but asking, since I know some of you will have given this much thought: After defying Elizabeth to mention his eavesdropping to Darcy, why does Charlotte immediately insist that Elizabeth play, and persevere when Elizabeth would demur? I would have thought that Charlotte might encourage a bit more conversation amongst the three of them, once it had begun. I’m curious.
