You might add another possible motive at first: that Darcy would simply refuse to dance with her, as he has done already. Obviously, once he gravely requests the honour on his own behalf, she may not believe another insult of the type from the Meryton Ball is in the offing, but it might have been a motive as she is discomposedly withdrawing her hand from Sir William's.
