in consequence of the missive, When does Darcy ever falsely apologize?, penned by Connie
apology. His boorish behavior and his attitude that he is the superior of what he sees as the rude and rustic country people is based solely on his class and social standing, not on any moral or natural "superiority." I don't think I am explaining myself very well here, but what I was attempting to convey is that he has the same attitude as people who make a false apology, when all along the offended party knows that there is no remorse involved.
