In a different society   Written by Nina RG (4/15/2010 7:26 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, (Altruism = good manners) vs. Darcy, penned by Akaruihi
Are you new?

in a different context, Darcy's behaviour may not have been a big deal. In this society, in this context his behaviour was VERY rude, offensive, haughty, proud, ungentlemanly...call it what you will, Darcy's behaviour at the Meryton Assembly can't be excused.

That does not mean he is all bad, that he is a horrible person with no redeeming qualities. It just means that his behaviour at Meryton was not acceptable.
