...is Darcy's "true" character?

Is it the man who decided that everyone at the Assembly was uninteresting, without having met them? Was it the man who insulted a stranger, denigrating both her appearance and her consequence within her hearing? Was it the man who was agreeable among his intimate acquaintances? Or do all of those represent Darcy's "true" character?

On what basis can you decide now?
