On the other hand, I'm reminded of Winston Churchill's saying that first impressions are very valuable, and you should alway make a note of your first impression of someone, even though you will likely modify it in time!

Years ago, I remember seeing a very interesting segment on 20/20 about a study that showed that our first impressions of people are something like 66% accurate. Now, 66% is not 100%, but there is something to be said for first impressions! ;-)
