Unless we go with the "reckless" definition Written by CarolTS (4/13/2010 6:58 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Motive for the Fine Eyes comment?, penned by Kathryn Ann

Then we could easily read the comment about her fine eyes slipping out. I personally don't think so - it doesn't fit how I read Darcy (he seems more controlled than that), but the definition is there.
