Thanks so much for bringing this important detail to our attention. We so often apply modern day interpretations, standards, and expectations on historical and literature context that we forget the importance that empathy plays in our enjoyment of the pursuit. If we truly put ourselves in 19th century British shoes, in order to enjoy Author Austen, we must see it through their "fine eyes."
