It's both Written by Line (4/12/2010 8:06 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, What caught my eye, penned by LisaS

Longbourn is both the name of the house/estate and the name of the village. I imagine that Mr. Bennet must have *some* tenants, but we are not told anything about them. IMO Netherfield is just the name of the house - there is no mention of any village by the same name.
