I agree. In reality, Lizzie would have been exposed to Jane's cold germs and then would have passed them on to the Bingley's and to Mr. Darcy. Perhaps Lizzie's solid constitution due to all of her exercise would have protected her, she could still have been a germ carrier.

That is what comes to mind when I see these scenes in each of the adaptations!
