What caught my eye   Written by LisaS (4/12/2010 2:48 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Locations, penned by Benedicte
Are you new?

is that Longbourn is a 'village'. I had always imagined it to be the name of the Bennet estate, not the village in which they lived. Being the principle landowners in the village of Longbourn, does that mean they own the village? Do they have a village and tenants on their property? Is Netherfield also a village or is it just the name of the Bingley estate?
