...and someone like Lizzy would have caught that. Someone like Mrs. Bennet would not. And think Mr. Bennet meant for it to be a double entendre. :) I think one will never know for sure... he could have been somewhat truthful but teasing all the same. I think he certainly was teasing about Mr. Bingley possibly being attracted to Mrs. B., though. We will never be able to see Mrs. Bennet through the eyes of a lover (current or former), but really! ;D
