Lizzy and Charlotte are very close...   Written by Adrian (4/12/2010 11:53 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Charlotte promotes willful ignorance, penned by Connie
Are you new?

...so it is reasonable for Lizzy to think she can predict Charlotte's true feelings. Lizzy likes Charlotte and seems to expect they see things the same way except that Lizzy knows Jane better than Charlotte does.

Is the possible disagreement between Charlotte's expressed opinion and Lizzy's due to what each young lady sees in her own family? Do we sense that Sir William and Lady Lucas get along better than what we have seen of Mr. and Mrs. Bennet's relationship? What we know of the Lucases' relationship is, so far, highly speculative and perhaps will remain so.
