I find that is an interesting point.

he was looked at with great admiration the whole eveing until his manners gave a disgust which turned the tide of his popularity; for he was discovered to be proud, to be above his company, and above being pleased;

The company took half the evening before they decided Darcy was proud.
My impression is they did not judge Darcy as disagreeable too quickly. I will be interested to see when Darcy's manners change.

I wonder why Darcy was so disagreeable at the Meryton Ball.
