Male Lucas not offended by Darcy   Written by Akaruihi (4/12/2010 11:07 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Mrs. Bennet exaggerates Darcy's offenses, penned by Connie
Are you new?

"If I were as rich as Mr. Darcy," cried a young Lucas, who came with his sisters, "I should not care how proud I was. I would keep a pack of foxhounds, and drink a bottle of wine every day." (ch6)

Young male Lucas says, "If I had his money I would do such and such.." He aspires, admires, yearns for Darcy´´s wealth...or, thinks, who cares what Darcy does? If I were rich I would also do and say what I liked....

A male´s perspective of Darcy is different...
