Elizabeth and Miss Lucas LIKE Darcy...   Written by Akaruihi (4/12/2010 10:56 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, But I think the ladies like Darcy---, penned by Akaruihi
Are you new?

"His pride," said Miss Lucas, "does not offend me so much as pride often does, because there is an excuse for it. One cannot wonder that so very fine a young man, with family, fortune, everything in his favour, should think highly of himself. If I may so express it, he has a right to be proud."

"That is very true," replied Elizabeth, "and I could easily forgive his pride, if he had not mortified mine."

Oh come on...the girls care about Darcy´s opinion of them. Think about this...I like your intelligence. I have no problem in you being brilliant as long as I don´´t look stupid in public when I am seen next to you....

Come on...in point of fact. Both girls agreeing on this point makes m think they are kind of competing for the guy without realizing it.
