Amazingly horrid, cowls of fun !   Written by Mandy N (2/3/2006 3:53 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, The final verdict - I enjoyed the book!!, penned by Reeba

Are you new?

'The End' ...or just the beginning ?! ;)

I feel like I've taken a crash course in the foundations of gothic literture.
It's been fun reading this book all together, yes ? 'Otranto' is crammed with catastrophes, ghosts, revelations of identity and story twists.
I remain unsure if HW wrote this a serious book, but he suceeded in writing a darn entertaining tale !
LOL ! When I think of the giant bursting out of the castle-- puts me in mind of Gulliver in Lilliput. There's a surprising amount of humour.

I don't know if I'd call 'Otranto' a true classic yet it influenced a literary tradition further developed by Anne Radcliffe, Bram Stocker to Daphne du Marnier and Stephen King.

Did HW spin a tale !

p.s I believe your'e trying to recall 'Charmed'. ;D
I watch it too !

Thankyou to our committee members for their time and participation.
