I meant to say that when the General took Catherine around to show the Gardens, the reader of those times perhaps thought he'll have a cave or two with hired hermits, but he showed off his kitchen gardens instead.

Catherine of course was more interested in tze Abbey than the Gardens.

I know I am stretching it a bit to find an NA connection. :-/
