Are you new?

This was a rather awkward beginning to Manfred's acquaintance with the new arrivals, wasn't it? I had to *snort* when I read: "Manfred, almost hardened to preternatural appearances..." I have a feeling he hasn't seen anything yet!

I noticed that Manfred's speeches alternated between addressing them as "Ye" and "You." Does anyone know why this is? Is it a mistake, indicative of changing speech patterns during that time period, or doesn't matter at all? Just a little something I observed...
