this is a very nice portrait...he looks like a thinking man, not unkind and it appears that he is just on the verge of quirking an eyebrow and giving the artist a pleased and rather impish grin. Could he be thinking of a giant eye ball with which to frighten Manfred with its unearthly and penetrating stare? Aye…it is the Eye of Alfonso! :D
