The most evil part so far (hard to pick) is how he gets so scared of the helmet plumes thinking some supernatural being is coming to get him that he pardons Theodore and then minutes later when he feels better he says that Jerome must now get Isabella to him in exchange for pardoning Jerome. But that wasn't part of the deal at all!!!!! ARGHHHHH.
