"Related in the fourth degree" Written by Pili (1/26/2006 10:45 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Ch.2: Manfred and Henry VIII?, penned by Line

In Manfred's second argument to convince the friar to aid in his divorce, he claims he and Hippolyta are related in the fourth degree. What does that mean? She's his sister? I'm reading an etext, so I don't have the benefit of explanatory notes. Help.
