The living likeness of Alfonso the Good.   Written by Mandy N (1/25/2006 6:30 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, The resemblance to portraits are..., penned by Reeba
Are you new?

The exact resemblance between the portrait of Alfonso the Good and the peasant appears to be a portent.

A good point, women seem to notice these things !
Matilda, a princess notices the noble personage of the youth.
And that he is the living likeness of Alfonso the Good.

Manfred hasn't appeared to notice the resemblance between the two--or perhaps he secretly has which is why he's so anxious to
quickly find out his story so he can then condemn Theodore to death ?

Curiouser and curiouser !

JA doesn't forget the idea of portraits either. In NA, Eleanor offers to show Catherine the portrait of Mrs Tilney yet I can't recall Cathrine's rection.
It may've been an incident interrrupted by General Tilney.
