Very true   Written by Kelley B (1/24/2006 8:36 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Not at all, penned by Barbara
Are you new?

I have posted a few times about how I found the first chapter quite funny and about how I felt it was because I have read Jane Austen's take on it so many times. I think our lenses are a bit altered...we're going into this story looking for the elements she parodied and disecting it with her witty yet critical eye. So where HW meant for readers to be scared (and they were!) we find ourselves highly entertained. And I think the credit for that has to go to Jane Austen.
