Isabella's exemplary father   Written by Laraine (1/23/2006 1:11 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Father knows best…, penned by Robbin
Are you new?

Isabella's father is fighting in the Crusades. So his absense is completely excusable. What's not so excusable is the behavior of the guardians who sent her to be married off before he came back.

If she were 30 or something, I could see the reasons for marrying her. But 18? Even in the Middle Ages (people being even more mortal then than now), I can't believe that 18 was too old to wait at least a few more years.
