Throwing Catherine out like that!

Ok, he has been made a dupe by John Thorpe’s idiocy. He cannot be a very clever character, how on earth has he become a general? God help the army he has had to command in the field!

So he is angry. With whom? Thorpe? Catherine? Does he have the capacity to be angry with himself?
I am not sure how dangerous it was for Catherine to travel home alone like that, but what an ungentlemanly and positively cruel thing to do!
