“Dearest Miss Morland, what ideas have you been admitting?”

Catherine has been treated with nothing but kindness from the Tinley family, yes, including the quirky general.
Yet she thinks that the general has murdered his wife and indicates as much to his son! She has no real evidence for this apart from that concocted by her over active imagination fed from her diet of Gothic novels.
Catherine is a darling creature but I find this quite difficult to condone. Henry is obviously of an extremely generous nature (or is he madly in love?) to let Catherine off so easily.
