I've been lurking on the GR board and this caught my eye.

A reverse situation in MP: Mary Crawford actually refuses to look at Edmund's watch when he tries to convince her that they can't possible have walked half a mile through the grounds about Sotherton. Funny how she doesn't want to look at his watch since it would prove her wrong, where Isabella will only believe she's wrong when James shows her his. Both of these women convince themselves they are in love, and look how well it works out for them!
