Are you new?

I have only recently come to realize that Sarah was the one who was (to her mother's notice) being intrusively curious about the details of Catherine's dismissal from the Abbey. Was there a bit of sibling rivalry and mischief involved in Sarah's disinclination to let the matter go or just curiosity?



Sarah indeed still indulged in the sweets of incomprehensibility, exclaiming and conjecturing with youthful ardour.

It was Sarah, as well, who saw no need for Catherine to direct Mr. Tilney to the Allens'. Sarah is starting to look like a sly little thing. Perhaps she was kinder when she was still Sally. :-)

“You may see the house from this window, sir,” was information on Sarah’s side, which produced only a bow of acknowledgment from the gentleman, and a silencing nod from her mother....
