he probably lacks the maliciousness of his father. When I wrote this, there hadnīt yet been the discussion on Isabella and Tilney and who deceived whom. After reading all those good thoughts I would also agree that Frederick was more superficial - he just wanted to have fun, whereas his fatherīs actions all had a malicious purpose.
