Interesting points from all of you   Written by Elizabeth K (3/26/2009 2:29 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Catherine’s development and main themes of NA, penned by Elizabeth K
Are you new?

Okay, I might have been a bit hasty in saying that Thorpe was in love with Catherine but I still think that Catherine did have some failures in reading other people's actions, which is due to her inexperience and naivety. However, I do agree with nan duval:

"As for "accidentally allowing John Thorpe to fall in love with her"; how could anyone propose to have stopped him from proceeding in his matrimonial plan? The Thorpe nuptial Juggernaut was beyond the control of any mere mortal".
I love that phrase - Thorpe nuptial Juggernaut! :-)
