When the narrator tells us of her marriage in ch.31 she admits:


I know no one more entitled, by unpretending merit, or better prepared by habitual suffering, to receive and enjoy felicity.

I especially like the way JA makes us believe Eleanor was a real human being: My own joy on the occasion is very sincere. I know no one more entitled... ;o)
