Except for P&P, I watched at least one adaptation apiece before reading any of JA's other novels! ;-) Think of it this way: reading the novels second gives you the pleasure of seeing how they differ from the adaptations as well as lots more insights on things that might have puzzled you before, not to mention appreciating how good the originals really are! :-)
