Are you new?

Please forgive my rambling, but your sentence Henry...held the Woodston living (from the General) made me wonder whether it actually was the General who paid his income. IIRC Lady Catherine of P&P owned the parsonage and paid Mr. Collins. Doesn´t the Woodston parsonage belong to the General, as well? I am a bit bewildered...
