Catherine's management of the journey   Written by JoAnn (3/26/2009 12:24 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, The uneventful journey..., penned by Reeba
Are you new?

serves to show that she is now grounded in reality, rather than in gothic fantasy. The Catherine of just a few weeks prior to this event would certainly have found cause for alarm around every corner of the trip. The new and improved Catherine handles it all very practically and does just fine, even though getting thrown out of Northanger is the one truly horrid thing, actually befitting a gothic heroine, that happens to her in the whole book!
