Sympathy for Isabella   Written by Robbin (3/25/2009 11:33 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Does anybody else have any sympathy for Isabella?, penned by Cathy Allen
Are you new?

I almost have a tiny bit of sympathy because Isabella might have thought her dreams had come true in Captain Tilney and that is a hard blow to bear but then I remember it is one she brought on herself with her greed and it is hard to forget her heartless treatment of James. I don’t think Isabella appreciated Catherine so I am not sure she would have ever been influenced by her but that is just my speculation. Isabella’s letter to Catherine after Captain Tilney turned the cold shoulder is in the same old double-talk (a mite bitter I admit) in an attempt to cajole and manipulate suggesting business as usual. I think Isabella regrets letting James go but not for the right reasons. She does not seem to have any remorse for her behavior. (;D)
