The Alarms of Romance   Written by Robbin (3/25/2009 10:54 p.m.)
Are you new?

This is just a funny bit. In Ch. 25, as soon as “The anxieties of common life began soon to succeed to the alarms of romance” Catherine receives James letter informing her of the end of his engagement which is then followed by Isabella’s letter asking for help getting back in James’ good graces. The alarms of romance find Catherine again only a few lines after her own were extinguished in the assurance Henry does not hold her murderous fantasies about his father against her. (;D)
