As an alternative to the "It's all Isabella's responsibility, and any man she approaches that way is merely a force of nature" view, how about this? Henry knows Frederick's past behaviour so well that he finds him highly predictable. Then the speech relies on knowledge of a specific person, and is further from the dodgy generalisation that anything bad that happens to a woman is her own fault.
