I've been meaning to mention... here are some more examples that support the idea that Catherine has a springy/energetic/elastic way of moving.

Ch10> ... her spirits danced within her, as she danced in her chair all the way home.

Ch20> ... was actually under the abbey walls, was springing, with Henry’s assistance, from the carriage, ...

Ch22> ... springing from the bed in the very moment of the maid’s going away, ...
