Do we know why General T thinks this?   Written by JoAnn (3/20/2009 5:55 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Catherine bought the dresses herself, and Mrs Allen's..., penned by Reeba
Are you new?

Where did he get the idea that Catherine is going to inherit from the Allens? Clearly at this point of the story he continually compares his lodgings with those he believes the Allens must possess, and clearly he is trying to impress Catherine with his wealth and or flatter her about the experience he assumes her to have had. But have we read anything yet that lets us know where he got such ideas?
