With all the focus on Henry, we forget Eleanor.   Written by Adrian (3/13/2009 3:33 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Disappointment rather than anger?, penned by Lynn
Are you new?

Henry may have been more upset for the slight done his sister than he was for any injury to himself. And if Eleanor was all goodness in supposing Catherine not to be at fault, that might have made Henry more irked for his sister's sake.

So regardless of whether Henry had already discovered feelings for Catherine and was repeatedly disappointed, his disappointment or concern may not have been for himself.

We do have the sense that Henry felt very responsible for supporting his sister's happiness (buying muslin, a true Indian muslin, for example). :-)
