In the Norton Critical Edition, which I have, this phrase is given as "I will show you the four greatest quizzes [not quizzers] in the room". There is a footnote saying: quizzes] quizzers 1818 (Chapman's emendation).

Personally, I'm sure Marianne R got it right - John Thorpe's idea of entertainment is to make fun of his sisters. :-(
