of Julie W's during a past group read. I meant to post this last week. It's all about the sedan chairs. Also, I noticed that the editor of the Norton edition got this wrong. She said a 'chair' was a small one-horse carriage, which of course it is not! It made me feel quite smart to know more than the Norton edition! :-)
