that maybe James has already seen through John but not through Isabella yet? I mean, I think it is clear that he doesn't see Isabella for what she is, but perhaps he is only putting up with John because he likes Isabella?

Or maybe John is only this way with the women around and not when he is alone with just 'the guys'?
