Small quibble   Written by Line (3/8/2009 12:27 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, FOCUS: What Catherine Read --from Ch. 8-12, penned by Adrian
Are you new?

In ch.10, I believe "reading a lecture" is a traditional English expression which simply means "*giving* a lecture". Catherine's great-aunt had simply lectured her on not paying too much attention to her clothes - no actual reading involved at all. ;-)

BTW, thanks very much for listing everything that Catherine reads - it's definitely adding to my enjoyment of the GR!
