And Isabella has two younger sisters (all out at once?!) Odd that the Thorpes would do that in their financial situation, but then desperation may lead them to try to marry any of their daughters when they can, or the family may share John's unfounded optimism and arrogance so that they believe having them all out at once makes no difference or implies greater wealth than they have.
