Plus the Thorps are a family on the make so they would seek out people like the Morlands-who are comfortably off. Inviting a young man of good family and prospects home with you when you have a house hold of sisters to settle is good business. I agree comletely that James and Catherine stand in the same relationship to the Thorps-only Catherine has better sense. Even early on she has small doubts about Isabella-only she things she is the one at fault prehaps not understanding everything as well as she could. James is a ninny.
