Isabella as heroine Written by Emmeline (3/4/2009 4:31 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Isabella....a heroine?, penned by Ivonne

She does not seem to be virtuous the way Gothic heroines are. But she gives the impression that she is imagining herself to be one. The way she talks to Catherine and treating her as a confidante is imitative of Gothic heroines, but the imitation is so badly done by Isabella that she seems false.
