... in 37104, she's a good Mom. She has raised her daughter to be able to enjoy harmless amusements (like reading novels)without embarassment, and trusts that daughter with some friends for an extended stay at a resort town like bath. I think this novel reading by Mrs. Moreland is - as you say - a good sign, and it further confirms what a good Mom she is.
