Not only does he tell her what he hopes she'll write about him, but a few paragraphs later he tells her, "for now we shall soon be acquainted, as I am authorized to tease you on this subject whenever we meet, and nothing in the world advances intimacy so much.

He's being awfully forward, given that this is their first meeting, isn't he? Is he totally smitten? Or just a flirt?
